League of Legends is widely regarded as one of the most balanced multiplayer online battle arena games. Even so, players are always complaining about minor issues and Riot tries to fix them by applying patches. The most recent installment brought balance to LoL competitive matches, but some heroes were negatively impacted by these changes.
Kog’Maw used to be one of the most effective damage dealers before the patch and now it is ranking among the worst. Apparently, Riot was heavy-handed when applying the nerf and hurt her W ability so much that the winrate plummeted. Players who use it will have to wait until patch 8.5 for a buff.
Swain is another hero who suffered greatly once patch 8.3 was applied. Interesting enough, players continue to ban this hero who now struggles on top and mid lanes. It is likely that some time needs to pass for players to realize that he is no longer a threat and allow the master tactician to return to the rotation.
One of the unintended consequences of the new patch is that Illaoi is now plagued by bugs that hurt the gaming experience. For many players, it brought back unpleasant memories of Mordekaiser’s seemingly endless list of bugs.
