League of Legends is played by millions, but the most popular game mode is the 5v5 matchup on the Summoner’s Rift map. For a brief period of time, the One for All mode provided both amateurs and professional players with a chance to take a break from serious gaming. This mode served as a welcome distraction without stripping the multiplayer online battle arena game of its competitive nature.
Riot came under a lot of pressure to bring back this game mode and eventually they announced its return on March 21. Patch 8.6 will be the herald of One for All and it will provide players with the chance to use the same hero for the entire team. When it was first released, players were happy to tinker with new strategies and try different things in a competitive match up.
For the time being, the videogame developer is more interested in fixing the balance issues. However, Riot confirmed the fact that future patches will alter the Rotating Game Mode system. The One for All game mode will be back after more than a year of absence and more event specific modes could follow.
