Riot is ready to roll out another massive patch, called 8.3 which will address some of the controversial balance issues. Smaller than the previous installment, this patch will nerf several heroes, but the most affected ones will be Zoe, Sejuani, Azir and Ryze.
Zoe has emerged as a powerful mid-laner because of its uncanny ability to spam skills. Riot will increase the cooldown of Paddle Star, which will make this hero less dangerous at low levels.
Sejuani has been for quite a while the king of junglers, especially in Silver and Gold divisions, because of her insane crowd control. Now the cooldown of Arctic Assault will be increased, which won’t hurt the hero in late game, but will make its ganks manageable early on.
Azir is a difficult hero to play so Riot was not too quick to nerf it. The changes include reduction to its Conquering Sands cooldown and the drawing of full minion aggro to Azir by soldier attacks.
Ryze isn’t essentially an overpowered character, but professionals have learned to exploit its ultimate + Zhonya combo. After this patch, these two abilities will be mutually exclusive so decisions must be made.
