BenQ is one of the producers of high-performance monitors for gaming and 2018 comes with good news. The company has announced the release of a new device which goes by the name of ZOWIE XL2740. This is a state-of-the-art 27-inch PC eSports monitor that has a 240 Hz refresh rate. It has the same specs as the smaller version, the 24.5-inch XL2540 and provides players with some unique advantages.
To make the most of the new monitor, players should own a PC capable of generating at least 240 frames per second. In order to achieve this, equally powerful hardware is needed and BenQ recommends video cards at least as powerful as NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 or AMD Radeon RX 480. The XL series is supposed to push the technological boundaries and provide players with the ultimate gaming experience.
Embrace Dynamic Accuracy Technology
The specs for the new BenQ ZOWIE XL2740 monitor are truly impressive and the gadget premieres the “Dynamic Accuracy” technology. Multiplayer online battle arena fans as well as their counterparts who enjoy first-person shooters will benefit from the new technology. Whenever fast-paced action pushes the boundaries of gaming monitors, the latest tech will rise to the occasion.
BenQ envisioned dual shields on both sides of the monitor, so players are no longer distracted by things happening within their field of vision. The shield has adjustable angles, so players can deploy it in the most convenient way possible. Not only the side shields, but also the monitor itself can be set as the perfect viewing angle, by using the height adjustable stand. A single finger is enough to operate it and the LCD frame was created in such a way as to reduce light reflection from the screen.
A Highly Customizable Gaming Monitor
The Black eQualizer helps players in those situations when they need better view of objects in dark scenes. This is achieved without the downside of overexposing bright areas, so no painful compromises are expected. Color Vibrance is another feature that will change gaming for the better, while granting players the freedom of choice. They can now easily tune preferred color hues, with as many as 20 levels that meet precise viewing requirements.
BenQ took customization to the next level, to meet the expectations of players who want to switch free from one genre to the other. The S-Switch does precisely that and players can change connected devices quickly and save preferred settings. Up to three profiles can be saved and players can switch to different game modes with a single press of a key. This feature is also available in other monitors in the XL series.
ZOWIE XL2740 promises to take the MOBA experience to the next level, but state-of-the-art technology doesn’t come cheap. Players can expect to find the monitor at local and online retailers at a starting price of £525 including VAT.
